Troubleshooting using FTP with AOL

I use AOL and the files I upload via FTP seem to get chopped off.
Why does this happen?

According to our information, AOL has decided to limit the size of files that can be transferred via FTP. If you are unable to resume your transfers or compress the files to fit within AOL's limits, we would recommend trying another ISP (Internet Service Provider) than AOL that does not limit the amount of data you can upload. Your connections, email timeliness, browser speed and browser content will all improve.
