FILTERING EMAIL IN MICROSOFT OUTLOOK 2000/2002

To create your own rule, select "Start from a blank rule" from the Rules Wizard window.  That should bring up the following window:

To filter incoming messages, select "Check messages when they arrive" and click Next.  You will then be presented with the following options:

In this window, you can select one or more conditions to check by marking the boxes next to the conditions in the list.  After you check a box, the rule will be displayed in the "Rule description" text field.  Click the blue underlined link in the description to edit it.  Once you have edited the description, click Next.  This will bring you to the stage where you select the action to be performed on the messages that match the description you entered:

Just like before, you can select one or more actions to perform by marking the boxes next to the conditions in the list.  After you check a box, the rule will be displayed in the "Rule description" text field.  Click the blue underlined link in the description to edit it.  Once you have edited the description, click Next.  This will take you to the stage where you can enter exceptions to your mail filter.
