 How To FAQs

Domain transfer request is rejected by Registrar

Only the Administrative and Technical contacts listed on your domain name record can modify information relating to the domain name through Network Solutions (NSI's) automated system. Your request may not be processed because while you are an authorized contact for the domain name, the e-mail address you used to send the request does not match the e-mail address that is currently listed on your domain record. This typically happens when your e-mail address changes and/or you change ISPs, and you do not update your contact information on your domain record.

Since the system is unable to recognize you as an authorized contact, you should receive a message indicating that your request has been rejected and that the contacts for the domain name are being notified of your request. If any of the contacts agree to the change(s), the update is made within 24-48 hours. If you know that at least one of the contacts will confirm the requested change(s), no further action on your part should be required.

Otherwise, the next step would be to submit verification, via fax, that you are authorized to make changes in the record. The fax must be on letterhead from the organization listed as the Registrant on your domain name record in the WHOIS database (this is the domain name owner that is listed at the top of the domain record), and must be signed by an individual with apparent authority to legally bind the registrant.
